Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress from the United States. Her most well-known role is her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. After the end of the seventh season, the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, Speech and Family Therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian who was with English origin. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has said that she participates at Passover seders.
